I think sometimes it feels impossible not to let that light go out. We can only get burdened, overwhelmed, pushed away and hurt so many times before it has a lasting effect. How hard it is to keep smiling, keep going, keep loving. But we do, we push onward and upward, we persevere and we let God and others fill our lamp.
